Why do we find big spaces in the periods of the Periodic Table between $\ce{H}$ and $\ce{He}$, $\ce{Be}$ and $\ce{B}$, and $\ce{Mg}$ and $\ce{Al}$?
What is the logic of such organization of the periods?
